about

Small ripples upon larger waves upon a vast ocean; Katy Marchant’s voice above this. After Mike Edwards’ untimely death in 2010 she dreamt of him as a whale, singing and swimming freely amongst the waves. He would have loved to play on this piece. Fortunately, we found a small single piece of his improvised unaccompanied viol playing which fitted almost perfectly, as if he had this piece in mind.
